Hands-on Workshop on IoT (Sensor Familiarisation) 2025
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at FIEM recently hosted a dynamic Hands-on Workshop on IoT from 14th July, 16th July, and 17th–18th July 2025 at the CSE Lab for the ongoing 2nd and 3rd year students from the department. The workshop, conducted from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, focused on the theme "Sensor Familiarisation". The sessions were led by Mr. Samiran Basak, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE (IoT & Cyber Security), Future Institute of Technology. With his expertise and engaging teaching style, Mr. Basak guided students through the fundamentals of IoT while offering practical exposure to sensor-based applications.
Students enthusiastically explored IoT components, discovering how sensors interact with the real world. They not only grasped the theoretical foundations but also applied their learning in hands-on activities, bridging the gap between concepts and practice. The workshop turned out to be an exciting journey of learning, and experimentation. By the end of the sessions, participants walked away with a deeper understanding of how IoT sensors can power real-time applications, equipping them with skills to take on future technological challenges.
