SAMARPAN'25 – A Social Welfare Initiative, 2025
SAMARPAN'25, a heartfelt social welfare initiative by the Department of Computer Applications at Future Institute of Engineering and Management , Sonarpur, brought together students, teachers, and well-wishers for a noble cause.
On March 1, 2025 , we extended our support to the underprivileged children of Shantidham Ashram, Makalpur, Hooghly, making a meaningful impact on their lives. This initiative was more than just an act of charity—it was a gesture of hope, joy, and compassion.
Through our collective kindness and willingness to help, we not only provided essential necessities such as food and educational stationery but also inspired each other to contribute to a greater cause.

Celebrating Success at Smart India Hackathon 2024

The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is a nationwide initiative aimed at engaging students in addressing real-world challenges through innovation and technology.
In *SIH 2024*, students from the *Future Institute of Engineering and Management (FIEM)* , *West Bengal, actively participated, demonstrating their technical expertise, critical thinking, and innovative approach to problem-solving. Their involvement not only showcased their talent but also reinforced *FIEM* ’s commitment to fostering a culture of research, innovation, and excellence in the field of technology.

The event commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. It was followed by insightful addresses from esteemed dignitaries, including the Principal, Registrar, Vice-Principal, Head of the Department (HOD) of Computer Applications, and SPOC.

IMPULZ 2024
On July 30, 2024, the second- and third-year students of the Computer Applications Department celebrated their annual farewell program, IMPULZ’24, to bid farewell to their seniors. The occasion was graced by the distinguished presence of our esteemed Executive Director, Dr. Aloke Kr. Ghosh; Principal, Dr. Anirban Chakraborty; Registrar, Dr. Sajol Kumar Giri; and the Head of the Department, Prof. Ashoktaru Pal. The event was further enriched by the participation of other dedicated faculty and staff members, whose presence added to the occasion's significance. The attendance of all students from the Computer Applications Department made the event even more graceful.
INAGURATION OF COMMUNE NEWSLETTER, 2024
The Department of Computer Applications proudly inaugurated its annual NEWS LETTER COMMUNE 2024 on, 30th July 2024.The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Executive Director, Dr. Aloke Kr. Ghosh; Principal, Dr. Anirban Chakraborty; Registrar, Dr. Sajol Kumar Giri; and the Head of the Department, Prof. Ashoktaru Pal, who collectively inaugurated this significant occasion.
The inauguration was attended by a gathering of dedicated faculty, staff members, and enthusiastic students from the Computer Application department, all coming together to celebrate this grand event.
Rituranga, 2024
The Department of Computer Application celebrated festival of colors “Rituranga 2024” on the 22nd March,2024. We were honored by the esteemed presence of our respected Principal, Dr. Anirban Chakraborty, and Registrar, Dr. Sajol Kumar Giri.
Despite facing time constraints due to ongoing internal examinations, our students displayed remarkable dedication to ensure the grand success of the event. On behalf of the Computer Application department, I extend heartfelt gratitude to all the organizing members for their invaluable contributions.
CODERUSH 2024
Coding Contest is purely based on testing the coding skills of the students and improves it. “If happiness is a goal, then coding should be a priority”, provides a challenging environment where participants can solve complex problems within a given time limit. The event was organized in the form of two rounds. The total no of students who appeared from BCA and MCA in the 1st round is 150 and 80 students got selected for 2nd round.
Placement Grooming Session for BCA & MCA Final Year Students, 2023
The Department of Computer Applications recently concluded a highly successful hybrid grooming session conducted by our esteemed alumni for the final year BCA and MCA students. The primary objective of this Placement Grooming Session was to equip our students with essential skills and knowledge to excel in the upcoming placement season.
This comprehensive program provided invaluable insights, guidance, and practical tips to enhance their performance in interviews, group discussions, and various other facets of the recruitment process. The event was graced by the presence of our honorable Principal, Dr. Anirban Chakraborty, and our Head of Department, Prof. Ashoktaru Pal, who inaugurated the session. They collaborated with other committed faculty and staff members to ensure the grand success of this event
