A technical project “AN INTELLIGENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FETAL HEART RATE ANALYSIS" presented by our students (Samiul Mamud, Samujjal Biswas, Subham Biawas & Bitan Bhowmik) mentored by Prof.(Dr.) Dipankar Ghosh got authorization Certificate of Registration of Design from Controller General of Patents, Design and Trademarks, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India under The Intellectual Property Right India (Patent) in 2021. 
This team had won the most prestigious design contest of India "India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2017" and bagged a huge amount of prize money in 2018.
A new gold feather has been added to the glorious crown of the ECE Department of FIEM. MONALISA BAKSHI, of Batch 2022 has ranked 114 in Electronics and Communication Engineering among 54,292 aspirants all over the India,& 58th in Instrumentation Engineering in GATE 2022. Currently she is pursuing her M.Tech in IISC Bangalore. In the same year, SHUBHAM SAHA ranked 1642, ANUSHKA GHOSH ranked 1694 and DONA CHAKRABORTY ranked 2169 in GATE 2022 respectively.
SHAYAK GHOSAL stood 3rd in B.Tech in ECE at University (MAKAUT) level in the year 2018.
Every year almost all of our students get placment with high packages in premier software and core companies .
The ECE department encourages students to take active participation in various activities in different clubs of our college like Technical, Sports, Cultural and Film clubs. Our students have their signature achievements in these fields.
Many of our students are now pursuing their MS/Ph.D degree in different international technical universities and are doing jobs in various Semiconductor and Nanoelectronics based R&D laboratories worldwide.
